Advice

Help your Petsitter

  • Have plenty of food and medication available
  • Clearly label all medication and provide clear instructions (schedule interview at medication time if possible, so that your petsitter can witness your routine)
  • Provide collars with current tags for each cat (if they go outside)
  • Have all emergency phone numbers including your vet's number on a single sheet of paper in plain view (ie, next to the telephone)
  • Be truthful - tell your petsitter about any aggression problems
  • Be sure that all of your instructions are clear and comprehensive
  • Call your petsitter as soon as you get home to let them know you have arrived safely
  • Take your petsitter's telephone number away with you in case you need to change arrival times or you are delayed
